Purchased for hobby reading as it’s a subject I enjoy.. great book! Very informative on the different species of sea turtles and their biology. The photos are brilliant. Product arrived as described in good condition. Highly recommend. This would make a great gift for friends of family who have a love for sea creatures. Even if you’re not a big reader, this is a book you can enjoy.

Also helps you to understand the possible fate of some of these majestic creatures starting with the egg. Makes you proud to know people care & actually do something. Written for anyone to understand. Beautiful photos/descriptions.

This book is beautiful. From one of the top sea turtle conservationists. It covers almost everything there is to know about sea turtles. The diagrams of turtle anatomy really help to understand these creatures. It is also great that Spotila profiles some of the dedicated conservationists working to protect the turtles. The pictures are stunning. The books large pages do the pictures and the turtles justice. After reading the book, you feel as if you have been initiated into the world of sea turtles. And, an added bonus, a portion of the royalties will be donated to Leatherback Trust. In short, if you like sea turtles, buy this book.

This book is incredible! I absolutely love it! A wealth of information, great photographs, etc. If you are a lover of sea turtles, or just want to learn all you can about them, this is definitely the book for you. A wonderful resource...can't stop reading it!

If you are looking for a excellent, well-written book on sea turtles, this is the book for you. "Sea Turtles..." is written at a level that all can enjoy. It is not dry and academic but at the same time it is not a "fluff" book on sea turtles. Much of his focus is on conservation and after reading the book you will understand why. The graphics and photographs are really nice and add much to the book. Moreover, the price of the book makes it a "must have" for teachers, naturalists or anyone who has an interest in these great and imperilled animals.
